The Thrill of Driving

When you’re driving the most powerful SUV on the road, focusing on what’s ahead is just the beginning. The Autobiography is the flagship of the Range Rover Sport Line and in this year, everything about the vehicle has been designed to the next level. The interior itself is a visually stimulating experience, a perfect blend of a Gulfstream business jet and a boutique hotel in the Soho district. The cockpit is ergonomically crafted for an engaging and truly comfortable drive. Sitting atop 21 inch alloy wheels gives you an unobstructed view of the road ahead. And for the first time, customers of the Autobiography are able to specify a slick two-tone body color option.

For a moment, I had forgotten I was driving this nearly five thousand pound SUV. While it has the size, once you start the engine, you feel as if you are driving a true sports car. With an unbelievable 0-60 mph in just over five seconds, you have more than enough power to be first off the line.  

One of my favorite features had to be the 825 watt, 19 speaker surround sound system. It was a unique concert-like experience that I’ve never had inside of a vehicle before.  And just incase you need to keep those water bottles cool this summer, the vehicle comes equipped with a mini fridge in the center console.

With the introduction of the 2016 Sport V8 Supercharged Autobiography, Range Rover cements its status as the ultimate luxury SUV. Having the opportunity to drive this incredible machine gave me a new outlook on its class. The vehicle itself delivers a stunning experience, one that encompasses the best of luxury, power and utility. Inside the Autobiography Edition, the thrill of driving wins the day.
